Thank you for choosing our ESEF solution. A key benefit of using the ParsePort tagging subscription is our automatic taxonomy update and re-mapping service. We continuously monitor regulatory changes and implement them on your behalf, ensuring your reports remain fully compliant with the latest best practices.
While there are no major changes this year, we have collected several important updates from the new manual:
- Preparation for IFRS 18 & 19: The manual now anticipates IFRS 18 ('Presentation and Disclosure') and IFRS 19 ('Subsidiaries Without Public Accountability'). These standards are currently undergoing the EU endorsement process, expected to be finalized in 2026.
- New Naming Convention (Guidance 2.6.3): To align with the 'Report Package 1.0' specification, the recommended file extension is now .xbri (though .zip files remain valid). Additionally, report versioning, used for naming the reporting packages, will now officially start with '1'.
- Full Adoption of 'Calculations 1.1' (Guidance 3.4.1): The reporting manual now mandates that issuers shall use the Calculations 1.1 specification for defining arithmetical relationships. This technical improvement enhances validation accuracy and reduces false errors, particularly regarding rounding.
Be assured, there is no action required on your part. We have already evaluated and automatically implemented these changes within our system. If you are in charge of your own mapping we remain at disposal to make the necessary changes.
