Yes, and we actually recommend that you do this as soon as you have your financial figures ready, and your PDF is still in production.
If you upload only the Excel file with your financial statements to the ParsePort Inspector, you will still create an iXBRL file but without the graphical part that your PDF usually grants.
You can use this method to do a technical check of the mapping. Also, this is a great way to check if your figures and calculations are generating any warnings, errors, or inconsistencies.
Please note that when uploading only the Excel, you won’t get any warnings or errors regarding hypertagged information in your PDF, as the system does not have the graphical part to check at this stage.
Please be aware that while this file would contain the technical part of your ESEF report, it is not the file to be submitted to your local authorities.
