Why are the mapped names of our item lines not the same as in the actual report?

The reason why the mapping does not always use the same phrasing as the item lines in your financial statement is because the mapping has to be done according to the related taxonomy. While it is customary to use different abbreviations when creating financial reports, the mapping needs to match the taxonomy element 100%.

For example, you may have an item line titled “Personnel cost” in your annual report. However, this is not the name being used in the taxonomy. Instead the element is called “Employee benefit expense” to reflect the taxonomy.

In most cases you will not need to do anything differently, as our system of simplified tagging will make these corrections for you.
