There are two ways in which you can remove a row in the financial components of the Excel template you use for conversion, and both are quite simple. You can either delete the line or hide the line depending on whether you anticipate a need for the line in future reports.
Deleting a Line in Your Excel Template
If you have removed a line from your annual report that you don't expect to use again in future reports, the easiest way to remove it from your Excel template is to simply delete the line by right clicking the line number and selecting delete. Simply, mind any calculation formula that is affected by the removal. Do not worry if you add the same exact description in a future version of your report, it is stored in our database with the same concept associated.
Hiding a Line in Your Excel Template
If you have removed a line from your annual report that you expect to use again in future reports, you may want to keep it easily accessible. If this is the case, then you can simply choose to hide the line by right clicking the line number and select "hide".
This will let you recall the line at a future time, and as long as the line remains hidden, our converter will know to exclude it from your conversion. However, since the ParsePort solution keeps a record of your entries (Or line item descriptions) you may prefer to remove rows rather than hiding them and eventually lose track of them in the next reporting season.
