When we begin the onboarding process, we will ask you to supply us with the most recent version of your annual report in PDF format. The reason why we ask specifically for the annual report is that we need to know the overall structure of the financial statements present in this report.
This specific file will be the basis for preparing your Excel template (technical part) which you will use for creating the zip-package in our system. Also, during the implementation session, we will use this material to train you on how to operate the system. Please note that the PDF file needs to be copiable and all information that has to be tagged in your report cannot be presented as pictures.
If for some reason you cannot provide us with that specific report, we will need a document that will show financial statements from the latest year, for instance, files that have been prepared for IPO purposes (layout is the same as the statutory financial statements). If you do not have that kind of file, we can always consider a Prospectus - a formal legal document designed to provide information and full details about an investment offering for sale to the public. Companies are required to file the documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Apart from your latest annual report, we will ask you to provide us with the following information which is crucial for us to prepare your ESEF files:
- Master language (the language of the report you declare to the authorities - and from which you translate if you create your annual report in multiple languages)
- Entity’s LEI code (you can research it on the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation webpage)
- The publishing date of your annual report in ESEF
If you have any questions regarding the material that needs to be sent to us, please contact support@parseport.com for more information.
