FactsWithNonDisplayableCharacters warning, what can I do?

Last reviewed: 20/9-2024

If your validation report contains the warning FactWithNonDisplayableCharacters, then it means that part of the text included in a specific Block tag has not been correctly transformed. The issue occurs during the PDF to xHTML conversion where some characters are not recognized correctly and there is a graphical issue in the report. You are able to confirm this by checking the 'Fact value' found under the Fact List feature. To solve this issue, you will need to find out how your visual component (PDF) has been created. Contact the Support department if you want to learn more about how to solve this and what information you need to relay to your designers.

If you are experiencing other problems than Graphical issues during your conversions, you might want to check this article.

Ultimately, you can consider migrating your visual input file to a different format (EPUB or any other native xHTML) that will ease the resolution of this issue since no stress in the conversion process will occur. Do not hesitate to contact us to confirm what other formats the ParsePort Platform can support.
