Are we allowed to share access to the ParsePort XBRL Inspector with our auditors?

Last reviewed: 20/9-2024.

The short answer is no. When you send your zip package to your auditor, some auditors may ask you for access to our Parseport Platform, but as is stated in the contract you signed with ParsePort, it is not allowed to share access to our tools with a third party.

Your auditor can, however, apply for user access to the ParsePort Platform themselves.

In addition we have made it easy for you to provide your auditor with a range of information regarding your report without needing them to access it through dedicated software.

All you need to do is upload your zip-file on the ParsePort Plaftorm and then download and share the following documents with your auditors:

  • The Viewer File, which is an iXBRL file with a viewer embedded. This way the reader can look into the ESEF Report using a standard web browser. You can find out how to generate the Viewer File here
  • The Facts List, which is a list of every single XBRL element used within your report. You can find out how to generate a fact list here
  • The Extensions List, which lists all extensions used within your report as well as how they are anchored to standard elements in the taxonomy. You can find out how to generate an Extensions List here

Important: Please, be aware that you, as administrator of your profile in the ParsePort Platform are in charge of who access to the portal and you will only give access to relevant colleagues within the organization and no external individuals will be able to access through your domain (For example, with an email provided for specific purposes like ESEF review or consumption) Who access to the portal through your company profile is your entire responsibility
